Samenvatting
After their father (Tim Robbins) leaves for work, leaving them in the care of their older sister (Kristen Stewart), squabbling brothers Danny, 6 (Jonah Bobo) and Walter, 10 (Josh Hutcherson) are propelled into deep space while playing a mysterious game they discovered in their basement. On their fantastic journey, they are joined by a stranded astronaut (Dax Shepard) and must survive meteor showers, hostile aliens and a robot run amok. With the astronaut's help, Danny and Walter put their differences aside, working together to finish the game so they can go home. But they still face the biggest challenge of all; a battle against an intense gravitational pull into the void of the dark planet Zathura.
